The XAT is one of the qualifying exams for management courses in various management institutes nationwide. Qualifying for management courses in prestigious institutes is not easy. The eligibility for admission varies across institutes, and the program chosen in terms of work experience, but the qualifying exam remains the same. XAT 2025 Eligibility
The eligibility for XAT 2025 is as follows;
- Candidates with a graduation degree can apply for the exam.
- The graduation has to be for a minimum of three years duration.
- Candidates in their final year of graduation can apply if their final year examinations are completed by June 12, 2025.
Candidates should, however, find out the eligibility for the individual management program in the institute they want to apply with the XAT score. For example, the PGDM-GM course requires work experience. They have recently reduced this work experience requirement from 5 to 3 years.
XAT 2025 Registration Process:
The registration process for XAT 2025 is as follows;
- Visit https://applications.xatonline.in/
- Register by filling in your name and contact details like mobile number and email ID, fill in a password of your choice, and enter your state, city, and the captcha.
- An OTP will be sent to your email ID for verification.
- Log in again to the same portal and fill out the application form.
- You must select the “save and next” tab each time you want to review or save the application.
- Enter your name according to the official identity documents.
- Fill in your academic credentials and work experience.
- Select the XLRI program you want to study, if you want to study in XLRI.
- Enter the XAT test centres of your choice. You can fill in upto 6 test centres.
- Upload scanned photograph and signature.
- Check all details before clicking on “Submit.”
- Pay the registration fee and wait for the E-receipt to be generated.
- Take a printout of the Submitted application form and the E-receipt of the payment.
Documents Needed for XAT 2025 Application
Candidates should have a scanned photograph and signature ready before applying. The details and specifications for these are mentioned below:
- Scanned Photograph: It should be a recent coloured photograph, ideally against a white backdrop, with no shadows or “ red eye.” The size of the scanned file should be between 20 – 50 KB.
- Scanned Signature: Clear scanned signature of size between 20 – 50 KB.
XAT 2025 Registration Fee
Candidates applying for XLRI programs using GMAT/GRE scores must also submit the XAT Application 2025. Foreign/ NRI candidates can apply for all XLRI programs using GMAT/GRE Scores. Indians can only apply for XLRI PGDM – BM course using GMAT/GRE scores.

XAT 2025 Test Centres
Candidates can choose from over 100 test centres. They can give upto 6 test centre choices in their XAT application form. However, the examining authority decides the final centre allocation, i.e., XLRI. The test centres are:

Exam Scheme and Syllabus XAT 2025
The XAT 2025 has two parts. The first part will be 170 minutes, and the General Knowledge part will be 10 minutes. XAT is for 100 Marks. The details of the exam are as follows;

Analytical Essay Writing is now a part of the Group Discussion / Personal Interview at the respective B- School, where the candidate applies according to the score in XAT 2025.

Results XAT 2025
The XAT Result date will be released later but is generally expected towards the end of January 2025. A 90 percentile score is suitable for admission to the top institutes accepting XAT.
Conclusion
The XAT 2025 registration is open, so interested candidates should apply. There are some changes in the exam pattern, such as the essay being now at the GD level. The XAT also has a negative marking scheme for incorrect answers, leaving eight questions unattempted. Candidates should register as soon as possible and use their dashboard for resources like mock tests. The official mock test will be available on the dashboard of registered students starting September 24, 2024.
