The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has officially announced the exam dates for the recruitment drive that will be conducted for the appointment of personnel on 1828 posts that are declared vacant for Assistant Accountants and Auditors. The candidates who have registered themselves for the recruitment must start preparing for the exams as they will be issued their admission letters probably by the end of December this year. UPSSSC Auditor Vacancy 2024

UPSSC in an advertisement released on the 3rd of February 2024, declared a vacancy on 1828 posts that will be open for recruitment. Out of the 1828 posts

  • 668 are vacant in the Department of Directorate Of Internal Accounts and Audits, Lucknow, for Assistant Accountants (General),
  • 209 are vacant in the Department of the Directorate Of Internal Accounts and Audits, Auditors,
  • 1 is vacant in the Department of District Legal Service Authority, for Assistant Accountant,
  • And 950 are vacant in the Department of the Directorate Of Internal Accounts and Audits, for Assistant Accountants (Special).

The notification for the UPSSSC Auditor Recruitment was issued on the 3rd of February 2024 and the online application for it began on the 20th of February 2024. The application window for interested candidates closed on the 11th of March 2024 and the fee submission window closed on the 18th of March 2024. The admit cards for candidates who will be appearing for the written examination will be issued by the end of December and the exam will be held on the 5th of January 2025.

UPSSSC Auditor Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification 

The following are the educational qualifications that the candidates must ensure they possess before applying for the recruitment announced by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a university recognised by law in India or Graduate Diploma in Accountant from a university recognised by the government, ‘
  • O’ level diploma in Computer Operations from a government-recognised university, 
  • 2 years service experience in the territorial army (preferred),
  •  and NCC B certificate (preferred).

UPSSSC Auditor Recruitment 2024: Age Limit 

The lower age limit for recruitment over posts like Assistant Accountant and Auditors by the UPSSSC is set to be 21 years as of the 1st of July 2024, while the upper age limit for recruitment is specified to be 40 years as of the 1st of July 2024. The relaxations on the age limit for the categories with a reservation will be provided by the rules specified by the government. 

UPSSSC Auditor Recruitment 2024: Application Process 

In order to successfully apply for the recruitment conducted by the UPSSSC, the candidates interested may follow the set of steps given below. 

  • Step 1: The candidates will have to go to the official website of UPSSSC.
  • Step 2:  The candidates will find the link to the “Direct Recruitment under Advt No. 03 Exam/2023 start from 20/02/2023” in the Advertisement section on the homepage of the website.
  • Step 3: On clicking the link, the candidates will be redirected to a new login page where they have to submit the PET-2023 registration ID along with the email ID or phone number.
  • Step 4: After logging in, the candidates will have to fill in the credentials required.
  • Step 5: After the submission of the credentials, the verification code will have to be submitted.
  • Step 6: After verification is completed, the candidates will have to pay a processing fee of INR 25/- and then submit their forms.

UPSSSC Auditor Salary 2024 

The candidates who will be appearing for the written examination conducted to recruit personnel for the posts declared vacant by the UPSSSC can expect a satisfactory pay scale ranging from INR 29,200/- to INR 92,300/-. 

UPSSSC Auditor 2024: Syllabus 

The following topics will be included in the syllabus of Part 1 of the exam. 

  • Audit and Final Accounts: Introduction to Audit, Internal Audit, Preparation of Final Accounts including Adjustment Entries of Outstanding and Prepaid (Income-Expenditure), Valuation of Stock, etc, Provision for Bad and Doubtful Debts Comptroller and Auditor General of India. 
  • Fundamentals of Accounting, Preparation of Preliminary Books of Accounts, Depreciation: Knowledge of journal, ledger, Rectification of errors, Various depreciation methods, etc. 
  • Double Accounting System, Bank Reconciliation Statement, General Knowledge of Financial Rules: Preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statement, Store Purchase Rules, General Financial Rules, and Double Accounting System.
  • RTGS, banking, use of Computers in budget control: Information related to the use of computers, Internet banking, Modern electronic and communication technology in RTGS, and Budget control.
  • Advanced Accountancy: Calculation of insurance claims, etc. Branch and departmental accounts, Hire purchase and instalment payment methods, Insolvency accounts, and Royalties.
  • Taxation and Arithmetics: Questions related to Income Tax, GST, etc, and Arithmetic.

The following topics will be included in the syllabus of Part 2 of the exam. 

  • Knowledge of concepts of computer and information technology and contemporary technology development and innovation in this field: Technological developments and innovations in Computer and Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Processing, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Internet of Things), Hardware, Software, Operating System Spreadsheet, E-mail, Social Networking, E-governance, Digital Financial tools, and applications Introduction to Computer and Information Technology, Questions related to India’s achievements in this field, Internet and World Wide Web (WWW), Future Skills and Overview of Cyber Security, and Elements of Word Processing.

  • General Facts Related to UP: Polity and Administration, History, Culture, Art, Architecture, Economy of Uttar Pradesh, Agriculture, Industry, Business, and Employment, Festivals, Folk Dance, Literature, Questions on Soil, Forest, Wildlife, Mines, and Minerals, Regional Languages, Heritage, Social Customs and Tourism, Geographical Landscape and Environment, Natural Resources, Climate, and Contemporary events and achievements of the state of Uttar Pradesh in various fields.

UPSSSC Auditor 2024: Exam Pattern 

The written examination which will be conducted by the UPSSSC, is based on multiple-choice questions. The question paper will consist of a total of 100 questions carrying one mark each and the candidates will lose ¼ marks on every wrong answer. The candidates will have 120 minutes to answer the questions. The questions in the paper will be divided into three parts. 

The first part will have 10 questions from Audit and final accounts, 10 questions from fundamentals of accounting along with preliminary books of accounts and depreciation, 10 questions from RTGS and banking along with the use of computers in budget control, 10 from advance accounting, and 10 from taxation and arithmetics.

The second part will have 15 questions from computers, and the third part will have 20 questions from the general facts about UP. 

UPSSSC Auditor Recruitment 2024: Process of Selection 

The process of selection for the recruitment of the posts of Assistant Accountants and Auditors declared vacant by the UPSSSC, is divided into two sessions. The candidates will have to pass both the sessions in order to be selected. The first session will be a written examination that will be held on the 5th of January by the commission. Those who pass the written examination will then have to go through the second session, which is document verification, where the documents submitted by the candidates at the time of application will be cross-checked.
