UPSC Vacancies 2025
UPSC has announced 979 vacancies. These are for the Indian Administrative Services (IAS). Moreover, there are 150 vacancies for the Indian Forest Service (IFS). There are 38 vacancies reserved for persons with benchmark disability. Out of this, 12 are for blindness and low vision. Also, 7 are for deaf and hard of hearing. There are 10 vacancies for locomotor disability. Finally, there are 9 vacancies for multiple disabilities. These include deafness and blindness. The total number of vacancies may change based on final numbers. This depends on Cadre Controlling Authorities.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC 2025
The minimum age limit for applying is 21 years. Meanwhile, the maximum is 32 years. The age relaxation applies according to UPSC rules. Moreover, there are guidelines for education qualifications. For IAS, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognised university. Alongside, for IFS, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in specific subjects. The subjects include Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, and Chemistry. They also include Geology, Maths, Physics, Statistics, Zoology and Agriculture.

Application Fee
There is a certain fee for applying for the CSE exam. For General, OBC and EWS, the fee is Rs. 100. For SC, ST, Female and PH candidates, there is no fee. Candidates can pay the fee using various modes. These include debit cards, credit cards, net banking or even UPI.
Modification in OTR Profile
Candidates can modify their One-Time Registration (OTR) profile only once after registration. This change can be done until February 18, 2025. This is 7 days after the application window closes. There are other modifications as well. These are other than the OTR application. For this, candidates can make changes from February 12 to 18, 2025.
UPSC 2025 Exam Pattern
The UPSC CSE Prelims consist of two objective-type papers. These are multiple-choice questions. The total marks for the papers will be 400. Moreover, the questions will cover a range of topics.
