Uttar Pradesh Right to Education RTE Admission for the academic session 2025-26 is open officially. The initiative by the Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh is bringing quality education within the reach of kids from economically weaker sections. This process lets kids get admission to private schools for pre-primary classes under the RTE Act. It also keeps 25 percent of seats in private schools only for kids from a weaker background. The first round remains open for registration, and this time parents have to submit their applications by December 19, 2024. Then, from December 20 to 23, the verification procedure at the district level. Candidates will be finalized through the lottery system on December 24, while the merit list will come out on December 27, 2024. Parents who fail in that round can apply for further rounds with their application schedule and verification.

The second round of registration would start from January 1, 2025, till January 19, 2025, with a district verification period from 20 to 23rd January 2025. The lottery for the same will be conducted on January 24, 2025, and the merit list will be published on 27th January 2025. The process is the same in the case of the third round too, which would begin on 1st February 2025, and end with the declaration of the list of merits on 27th February 2025. The final round would start on March 1, 2025, and get over with the declaration of the list of merits on March 27, 2025.

UP RTE Admission Eligibility Criteria 

The pre-primary class seats in private schools will be earmarked 25% for those children who fall under an economically weaker section. In terms of the age category, the child should range between 3 to 6 years based on its applicability to the concerned school. The family of the child must belong to an economically weaker section or must fit into any such category deemed disadvantageous by the ruling government.

Parents must check the eligibility on the official website carefully prior to applying. This shall ensure that their child has qualified for the RTE Admission and that they provide proper supporting documents.

UP RTE Admission 2025-26 Application Process 

Submission of UP RTE Admission Form 2025-26 is straightforward and can be processed through an online application by following the following steps for online submission. Here’s how one can apply:

  • Official Website: Use your browser and go to rte25.upsdc.gov.in.
  • Instructions: Read through the detailed schedule and guidelines to understand the application process in detail.
  • Registration on the Portal: Click on the login tab and fill in the registration form. The form will require details such as the applicant’s district, name, contact number, date of birth, class, and category.
  • Upload Required Documents: Parents must also upload the following documents:
    • Child Birth Certificate
    • Category Certificate if applicable
    • Proof of Address
  • Verification: Duly filled forms are to be submitted on receipt of which all the details given can be verified with the five-digit verification code generated in the screen.
  • Submit Application: After verification details Click the ‘Register’ button to finally submit an application
