RRB Technician Recruitment 2024, 14298 Revised Vacancy, Exam date (Soon): The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a huge vacancy this year for all the zones in the country. RRB Technician Recruitment 2024

The Railway Recruitment Board(RRB) has announced a mega vacancy for Grade 1 Technician Signal and Grade 3 Technician posts. The earlier notification CEN 02/2024 announced 9144 vacancies across these two categories. However, they released an addendum to this notification on August 22, 2024, which announced an increase of almost 5000 posts in over 40 categories. Documents Required for Railway Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III  Vacancy

Educational Qualifications for RRB Technician 2024

Technician Grade 1 Signal: Graduation/ B.Tech/ Diploma in Engineering: Physics / Computer Science/ IT/Instrumentation.

Technician Grade 3: Matriculation + ITI/ Course completed Certification in  Forger and Heat Treater/Foundryman / Pattern Maker / Moulder.

RRB Technician Vacancy 2024 Age limit

The age limit to apply for this recruitment is;

1. Technician Grade 1 Signal: 18 to 36 years.

2. Technician Grade 3: 18 to 33 years.

Reserved categories get upper-age relaxation as follows:

1. SC/ST/Candidates ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir between January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989: Five years.

2. OBC(NCL) and ESM 6 months of service after attestation: 3 Years.

3. PwBD: 10 Years plus category relaxation.

4. Railway employees of C and D categories, Casual workers with more than three years of employment: 

• General – 40 years,

Selection Process for RRB Technician

The selection process consists of the following;

1. Computer-based test: Both grades will have 100-mark tests with a time limit of 90 minutes. Candidates will lose 1/3rd of a mark for wrong answers. Basic Science, reasoning, awareness, and Mathematics are some common subjects for both groups. Grade 1 will also have questions on Basic engineering and computer applications.
