The NEET PG Counselling 2024 schedule on MCC’s website provides a step-by-step timeline adopted to gain admission into any given postgraduate medical course. With each counselling round, the same framework quite evidently provides one with multiple chances of accessing a seat in any given course in their chosen institution.
Online registration for the first round of counselling with payment started on 20 September and will continue till 17 November. During the period, all candidates are required to register with the fee so that they may appear in counselling. Subsequently, on November 7, seat matrix verification will be conducted to verify the availability of seats on official website mcc.nic.in.
The choice-filling and locking period will be between 8th November to 17th November at precisely 11:55 p.m. This is where the candidates get a chance to select and prioritize courses as well as the institution that he or she would prefer. November 18 will be the date when seats will be alloted to desired Candidates and on November 19 it will end. The result of the same will be declared on November 20. November 21 to November 27 is the period when you must confirm your admission if you are eligible. Admission verification will be done on November 29.
MCC NEET PG Round 2 Counselling Schedule
If a candidate does not get a seat in Round 1, then there is an opportunity in Round 2. The Registration for Round 2 and payment will remain open from December 4 to December 9. Choices filling and locking also have to be done in the same duration from December 5 to December 9. Reporting will be open for successful candidates from December 13 to December 20. Round 2 Registration date – December 21 and 22
It is conducted if there are vacant seats left post the second round. The registration and payment for Round 3 will be from 26th December 2024 to 1st January 2025. Choice-filling and locking will take place from 27th December to 1st January. Seat allotment will be done on 2nd January and 3rd January, and the result will be declared on 4th January. Candidates who are allotted seats in this round will have to report to their institution from 6th January to 13th January. Final verification will take place on 14th January and 15th January.
Stray Vacancy Round Schedule
After three rounds of seat allotments, the remaining vacant seats are going to be occupied in one stray vacancy round. According to the schedule, the institutions will authenticate the tentative seat matrix on 18 January, while applicants can pay or fill up their choices with a choice locking on 21 January. For this seat allotment of this round, the list will be processed on 22 January and 23rd January while the result will be announced on 24th January.
The structured rounds of counselling ensure that every eligible candidate gets more than one chance to be allotted a seat. The schedule given by MCC is very clear and transparent, and it enables the candidates to prepare in advance.
