Recently, NTA has brought a complete shift in the eligibility criteria of the JEE Advanced 2025 and has thus thrown the avenue open for many. Change of eligibility criteria includes increasing the number of attempts, particular age criteria, and clearing through JEE Main. Thus, this change may affect those students wanting to enter the IITs of India.
JEE Advanced 2025 Attempts Increase
Two changes would happen for JEE Advanced 2025:
- Attempts Increase: Candidates can attempt the same exam three times within three years. Earlier candidates could attempt this exam twice in two continuous years. This decision has been considered as an effort to provide more flexibility to the candidates while searching for IIT admissions.
- Age Limit Criteria: It has been made official that the candidates who are looking to enroll for JEE Advanced 2025 must be born after October 1, 2000 There are, however, relaxations in birth dates for some categories. It has been stated that SC, ST, and PwD candidates can smoothly apply for the JEE advanced if they are born after October 1, 1995. This is an effort for fairness and inclusiveness at the eligibility stage.
