The selection process of the candidates will include an examination, an interview, and verification of the documents. ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024
Through the advertisement SAC:01:2024, SAC recently announced 22 vacancies for which the Organisation will conduct the exam soon. The application process began on 17th September 2024, and the last day to apply is 7th October 2024. The given age limit for JRF is 28 and 35 for RS as of 7th October 2024. There are category-wise relaxations to these limits as well.

ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024 – Vacancy Details
A total of 22 vacancies have been announced. Of these, 19 are for junior research fellows and 3 for research associates. They are further divided into various subject-wise availability of the vacancies.
Junior Research Fellows
- Ā 3 posts for Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Geology / Applied Geology
- 8 posts for Physics / Mathematics
- 2 posts for Marine Biology / Marine Geophysics

Research Associates

ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024 – Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for both categories have been specified separately in the SAC ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024 notification. For JRF, the required qualification is M. Tech with at least 60% or 6.5 CGPA. For Research Associates, they must either be a PhD holder or have experience of 3 years after M.E or M. Tech.

Important – JRF Candidates should also have cleared one of the following exams.
- National Eligibility Test
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
- National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
If the candidate has not qualified for any of these exams, they can still apply, but preference will be given to those who have passed any of these tests.
ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024 – Selection Process
The Organisation has detailed the eligibility criteria for all the posts, whereas just meeting the requirements does not confirm the selection. A personal interview and document verification will follow a written test. The shortlisted candidates will be informed privately about these tests. Based on the performance of the candidates, the applicants will be finalized for the posts.
ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024 – Salary and Allowances
The post of JRF will come with a basic pay of 37000/- per month + HRA for the first 2 years of posting, and the basic income will be increased to 42000 per month.
For the 2 posts of Research Associates, the pay scale would be ā¹58000/- Per month + HRA, ā¹61000/- Per month + HRA and ā¹67000/- Per month + HRA
Ā For RA1, RA2, and RA3 respectively.

ISRO JRF Recruitment 2024 – Important Details
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- The mode of application is purely online, and no offline applications will be considered.
- No fee has to be paid for the application.
- The details of the written test will be published separately by SAC.
- Relaxation within the upper age limit is available to OBC candidates only if they do not fall in the creamy layer.
- Hiring for both posts is for ONE year initially and may be extended depending on the case and requirement.
