How to Join the Indian Army After 12th – Eligibility
The National Defence Academy by UPS is the most popular and chosen path for students after 12th. The recruitment for the Indian Uniformed Services, i.e., Army, Navy, and Air Force, is done through UPSC NDA. The exam is conducted twice yearly to hire candidates for the country’s Armed Forces. How to Join the Indian Army After 12th without NDA Exam – TES
Students who have completed their 10+2 with the Science Stream, i.e., with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, are eligible to apply for TES. The Technical Entry Scheme (TES) recruits candidates for the technical branches to work in the Indian Army. JEE Mains rank is mandatory to be eligible to apply for TES.
Eligibility Criteria for TES
The candidates must have cleared 12th from the Science field along with the JEE Mains exam. The age limit is 16.5 to 19.5 years. Only unmarried Indian Nationals are eligible for this exam.
Based on their 12th marks and other qualifications, the candidates are shortlisted for the interview process. The SSC interview includes a psychological test, a test of teamwork, and a personal interview.
Once the candidate goes through all these, the medical and physical fitness tests are conducted.
Based on the final merit list, selected candidates must undergo a strict training session for one year or more.
