The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has recently announced 5666 constable position vacancies in two separate recruitment notices. Five thousand six hundred vacancies are for constable positions (male and female) in the Police Department, while 66 are for male constable positions in the Police Department’s Mounted Armed Police Division. The eligibility for the application to the Haryana Police Recruitment 2024 under various categories is listed below.
Common Eligibility Test (CET)
Candidates should first ensure their eligibility for the posts before applying. The recruitment notices released by HSSC Advt. No 4/2024 and 15/2024 state that the candidates should be CET qualified. The HSSC had earlier released a notification about the CET Exams, which are currently being held. CET is the primary qualifier, and candidates will be called for further selection processes based on the CET qualifications.
Academic Qualifications
Candidates should be Intermediate qualified and have Hindi or Sanskrit at the High School level.
Age
General candidates should be between 18-25 years old.
SC/BC/EWS candidates: The upper age limit will be increased by five years.
Ex-Service Men: The upper age limit will be increased by three years. However, the time between their day of discharge from service and application month for this post should not be more than four years.

Selection Process for Haryana Police Constable Recruitment
The recruitment selection process for the Haryana Police Constable contains the following steps:
Physical Measurement Test: Candidates qualifying for the CET will be called for the Physical Measurement Test according to their merit in the CET.
Physical Screening Test: Candidates who qualify for the Physical Measurement test are called for the Physical Screening Test. The parameters for this test are;
An objective, multiple-choice knowledge test will be taken for the candidates who qualify the Physical Screening Test. This test contains questions about science, maths, general knowledge, and reasoning ability; 10% of questions will be about computers and 20% about Haryana State. The test has no negative marking except when the question is not attempted.
Candidates must score 50 %; reserved categories need 40% to qualify. This Knowledge Test carries 94.5% weightage for Police Constable posts. The Knowledge Test carries 64.5% weightage for MAP Constable posts, and they will be asked general questions about horses and their upkeep during the test.
NCC
Candidates having NCC certificates will get marks as follows;
A level – 1 mark, B – 2 marks, and C – 3 marks.
For MAP candidates only: Riding Skill Test of 20 Marks and Marks for Participation in Championships, maximum 10 Marks.
