To ensure smooth implementation with fairness towards the evaluation of classes 10 and 12 students, CBSE has recently posted the guidelines related to it.

The practicals will be conducted between 1st January to February 14th, 2025. Project work and internal assessments are a part of the cumulative final examination for all students in those grades.

Rules Governing Practical Examination

The CBSE has laid down some guidelines that ensure the same standardized and fair treatment across examination centers. The key highlights include

Completely Adhering to Syllabus as Announced by the Board

All practical examinations, projects, and internal assessments will be strictly held as per the syllabus available on the official website of the CBSE Academic Branch: cbseacademic.nic.in

Upload Marks in Parallel

The marks of practical examinations and assessments must be uploaded live immediately after the conduct of the examinations. So, there will not be any mismatch at the time of submission.

No Unfair Means

Any student trying to influence the examiner or resorting to any sort of unfair practice shall be dealt with an iron hand. Such cases should immediately be brought to the notice of the Regional Office, CBSE, along with documentary evidence and witness statements.

Integrity Of Assessment Process 

Any activity that vitiates the integrity of the assessment will be treated as UFM. The case will be inquired into and dealt with seriously by CBSE.

For Students: What to Remember In Practical Examination

Students have to prepare for their practical exams and cover the entire syllabus. All instructions must be obeyed and the means of malpractice to be avoided. Honest assessment is something quite important, and if manipulation happens, it would result in canceling the results.

Schools and Examiners

Examiners and schools are supposed to uphold their professionalism to its best possible limit during the process of assessing the students. They have to:

  • Ensure that the exams are conducted according to the procedures specified by CBSE.
  • Submit marks on time and correctly within the stipulated time.
  • Report all malpractices immediately to the Regional Office of CBSE.

CBSE has announced clearly that it would never tolerate malpractices. In any form, bribery and talking to the examiners or getting some unauthorized assistance shall be seriously viewed. Even the fall-out might result in the cancellation of results or debarment from appearing in the examinations conducted by the Board again.
