Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET)
The Government Of Andhra Pradesh School Education Department APTET July-2024 Notification Dated 29/06/2024 states that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools (Both government and private) is that they must pass the TET conducted by the Department of School Education.
It further states that in the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitments, 20% of the weightage is for the APTET score, and 80% is for the written test in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up the selection list.
Age Limit for AP DSC Application 2024
The age limit for applying for AP DSC is between 18 and 44 years. However, certain sections of applicants have an increased upper age limit available. The Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes can expect the upper age limit to be 49 years, Physically Challenged applicants can expect it to be 54 years, and Ex-Servicemen can have the age limit increased depending upon their years in service.
Candidates should be Indian residents domiciled in Andhra Pradesh.

Selection Process in AP DSC 2024
As per The Government Of Andhra Pradesh School Education Department APTET July-2024 Notification dated 29/06/2024, the selection process of the AP DSC will include the APTET. The other expected selection processes include;
The written exam, also known as the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) and
The Teacher Recruitment Test is expected to be of objective type. It will have multiple choices. The test will vary according to the post applied for. APTET
