The Directorate of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, has extended the last date for Andhra Pradesh NMMS 2024-25 applications until 3rd October 2024. Students can apply on the official website bse.ap.gov.in to apply for the National Means cum Merit scholarship.
Students are advised to fill out the applications immediately, as no further extensions are expected. The exam date has been announced as 8th December 2024, and one must clear the Mental Ability and the Scholastic Aptitude tests in order to qualify for the scholarship.
The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, conducts NMMS exams every year to grant scholarships to the 8th standard student for the expenses of their 9th to 12th class education. A sum of Rs. 12,000 is given per annum to all the qualifying students. Only the students of class 8th are eligible to apply for the AP NMMS program.

The application process for this year started on 5th August 2024 and has now been extended till 3rd October 2024. The admit cards will be released in November, and the final exam will be held in December 2024. After the NMMS examinations, a provisional answer key will be released in December, while the final answer key is expected to be published in January 2025. The results for the NMMS 2024-25 will be announced in June 2025.
The scholarship is based on merit and is designed to support the economically weaker section of the society. A few points have to be met in order to be eligible for the AP NMMS scholarship.
It is only for class 8th students.
Students only from Andhra Pradesh can apply.
The students must have scored at least 55% in Class 7th (50% for SC and ST categories).
The annual household income must be less than 3.5 lakhs.
Any student from a government-run, government-aided, or local school may apply.
AP NMMS 2024-25 – Exam Pattern
There will be two papers carrying 90 marks each. The allotted time will be 90 minutes for each of them. The first paper will test the mental ability and knowledge of English and Hindi languages, with weights of 45, 20, and 25, respectively. The second part will test the expertise in maths, science, and social science accounting for 35, 20, and 35 marks sequentially.
In order to submit the application form, a nominal fee is to be paid online. The fees vary for the general and reserved quota students. It is Rs. 100 for the general category and Rs—50 for SC, ST, and Physically disabled students.

Andhra Pradesh NMMS 2024-25 Admit Card
The admit cards or hall tickets are expected to be issued a month before the exam date. You can keep checking the website https://bse.ap.gov.in/NMMS.aspx to stay updated. The details related to the time and examination center will be there on the admit card itself. Do carry a hard copy of the admit card and ID proof while appearing for the exam.
Soon after the exam, a number of unofficial answer keys will be updated online. But you must wait for the provisional and final answer keys to be announced by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Education. The former one will be released a few days after the exam, and the latter one might take up to one month or so, i.e., the final key will be released in January 2025.

The results of the tests may take up to 6 months and are usually announced in June. Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh is the official body responsible for the declaration of results of NMMS. The results are published on the website https://bse.ap.gov.in/NMMS.aspx. One may log in directly using the credentials used at the time of application or can check their names in the merit list PDF published directly on the website.
If you are qualified, you must follow the regulations set by the BSE AP to get the scholarship amount every year.
The minimum score required to qualify for any examination is known as the cut-off. There are two separate cut-off lists for the general category and the reserved category. The overall general cut-off is 40%, combining the SAT and MAT portions. It is 32% of the reserved quota of SC and ST students.
